Make a Donation
Royal Hounds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, tax exempt organization, comprised solely of volunteers who freely give their time and love to this noble breed with the common goal of finding secure and loving homes for the many ex-racing and retired Hounds that grace us with their presence.
Every dollar we raise goes to help hounds.
We gladly accept donations to help us cover the costs of ensuring that these wonderful dogs find their forever homes.
Many employers are encouraging philanthropy by offering gift matching both for personal donations and volunteer hours – It’s well worth checking out to see if you can make your dollar go further or trigger an extra donation to Royal Hounds through your volunteer time.
Donations can be sent to:

Sponsor a Pup
Royal Hounds has built a very successful program which relies on foster homes to house dogs awaiting adoption. Our foster homes are doing the dogs a great service by giving them a loving environment in which to live and learn while they await adoption. You can be a big part of our foster program by helping us feed our pups!
We do not rely on pet store donated food for our foster dogs, as it can be a mix of different foods and brands. A consistent diet is imperative for the foster dog's health and well-being. We feed our dogs a high quality kibble so they get off to the right start with fewer digestive issues.
This protocol can be a rather expensive endeavor for our small non-profit. This is where you come in. We need your help so we can continue fostering dogs while they await their forever homes. Your contribution will provide nourishing food for a hungry foster pup.

Foster A Greyhound
Royal Hounds urgently needs FOSTER HOMES for Australian dogs transported carefully and securely to the USA thanks to our close relationship with the Australian organization RACING 2 REHOME.
We have no kennel facility and rely on dedicated volunteers to give our dogs a smooth transition to pet life on a home-to-home basis when they leave their racing kennels in Australia.
Foster folk working for companies with Volunteer Matching programs are encouraged to register their time with their employers – usually by completing a form on a Donation Matching site. At time of writing, employers donate an average of $15 an hour for time spent caring for a foster hound, and we recommend following the Humane Society’s guideline of claiming 3 hours a day for foster care..

Volunteer your time and talents
Why volunteer? Because our success depends entirely on dynamic volunteer participation. More active volunteers equal more greyhounds successfully transitioned into loving homes in the USA.
Volunteers help us welcome our hounds after their long journey from Australia; manage our foster program; keep our social media up to date and fun; and test new hounds’ reaction to cats, kids and other critters.
We can never have too many volunteers! The majority of our volunteers step up for the simple and pure love greyhounds inspire and the good company of fellow adopters.
There’s a real need to find homes for these magnificent creatures, so if you love gorgeous, goofy racers, get in touch!
What benefit is there to volunteering? Volunteering for an organization like ours can be hard work, but it can also be fun. We can’t offer material rewards, but the ability to help another living creature find a better life is well worth the effort.
In addition, if you work for a company that invests in Volunteer Matching, you may be able to register your time with Royal Hounds and perhaps even trigger a matching cash donation as a result! Every dollar we get goes to help our hounds!
